I was on a public vehicle when one of the passengers starts to light up his cigar.
I started to cover my nose with my hijab. I thought I can take it, but the smell was so strong and I realized there were four guys on the vehicle and none of them is not smoking!
There is still half an hour journey back to my place and the smoke kept coming to my face from every corner of the pete-pete...
I felt like I'm gonna throw up!
For that 30 minutes, this is what's playing in my mind:
How impolite and inconsiderate!
How disrespectful!
How selfish! They only think of themselves...
Wait...they don't even care about their lives because if they really do, they won't even started anyway.
So basically they never think!
This is what I think.
Maybe the UN or Obama(if he wants to prove himself) can build a country( maybe the largest and most multi-raced country ever) for these people so that they can smoke peacefully, where they will never find a smoking-prohibiting sign anywhere in that country and they can kill each other slowly.
The nation may have the worst atmosphere, prone to air pollution and haze, with the highest lung cancer case, with all the babies born in imperfect shape or at least handicapped.
Maybe then they can all starts to die and they come to extinction and we will never have to worry about cigarette's smoke anymore.
If you are one of them(who smoke and didnt feel guilty and feel there's nothing wrong with that), I'm sorry but I can't help but feel disrespect of you, the way you did to your family and friends. More over to God!

sbnrnya kan, klau nak diikutkan di US, dia punya rule merokok ni lagi strict di Malaysia, susah sgt nak merokok especially di tempat awam. Selalunya nak rokok pun sama ada di luar mana-mana bangunan ataupun rumah sendiri. Selain tu tempat makan, restoran ke, warung bistro ke, manalah boleh merokok. Kalau compare di mesia, di mana-mana sahaja anda nmpk perokok. Tgh minum kopi di warung pun nak merokok. So kesian obama kan kalau kita kata dia mcm ignorant. (dia pun baru aja naik) Kalau hal-hal rokok ni, patut guna contoh pemerintah netherlands, sana diorng tak kesah hisap rokok mana-mana pun takpa, ganja pun sedap. :P

i was referring to the smokers. takdela marah kat UN or obama, again, just naming a few powerful people, not blaming.
the more developed the country, the higher awareness level of the people, so that's why they can apply those rules there. kat msia n indonesia pun ada tempat larangan merokok, tp sbb org2 die kurg kesedaran n peduli, this is what happens.
sepatutnya kita tak boleh letak ukuran awareness tu dr community negara maju atau tak, but from the principle they r holding. meaning kalau mereka penganut agama Islam yg melarang memudaratkan diri sendiri, they should do as they should. it's a shame that the country with majority muslims r the ones with high amount of smokers.

i am thinking the same way. pulaktu aku kalo asap rokok bleh runny nose.cuma yang aku kesalkan kat sini oeang miskin pun nak isap rokok.tukang beca, ojek.duit dahla xcukup, pegi buang2 plak ngn beli rokok.bodoh gakle.
to the dr: rokok ni macam wabak, slowly it spreads through our community, then to the whole country, now to the whole wide world. Yang sedihnya kena kat sume org, tak kira umur, jantina, miskin dan kaya. Nanti jagalah adik2, anak2 kita dr penyakit berbahaya ni cz sekali dah kena, susah sembuh dan senang relaps. Mencegah lebih baik dari mengobati...apalagi yang takde obatnya...
cerita korea dan jepun pun wabak,tgk berjam2, tapi org tak byk songeh pun kan,takdela pulak org buat fakta pasal gelombang dr komp atau tv boleh merosakkan otak atau mendtgkan kanser. Ataupun sakit mata akibat tgk cahaya dr komp ke kan, lagi2 org pakai cermin mata , lagila silau dan sakit mata.

yang hisap rokok ni minoriti dan yg kurang terpelajar, jadi banyakla benda yg dikritik dan di herdik. dan kami pun tak pandai la nak bidas balik kan. Fakta2 yg kuar pasal rokok, mcm manalah kami nak provekan slh. kami pun tak paham nama2 kimia tu , ntah betul ke ntah main reka.

hal merokok nih bukan kisah siapa yang buat. majoriti atau minoriti, yg cerdik pandai atau yg tak terpelajar. tadek kene mengena ngan kasta LANGSUNG.
memang, memang, memang bukan merokok je wabak yg ada. wabak2 yg len yg pon ada. tgk tv berjam2, ngadap screen kom lama. masalahnya, kalo pon ada penyakit disebabkan wabak nih, ianya hanya akan melibatkan individu yg buat tuh.
tapi kalau merokok?
org sebelah? keluarga? dan katakanlah merokok kat tempat sembunyi, tadek org len. yg paling penting, diri sendri. kalau mmg tak syg diri sendri, fikirkanlah org lain yg sgt sgt sgt sygkan kita.
percayalah. semua penyakit kat dunia nih, risk factor terbesar adalah merokok.
